When you think of performance oriented SUVs, the BMW X5M is probably near the top of your list. Outputting 550+ horsepower, it has the power to put a hurting on many modern sports cars all while having room for the whole family. Interestingly enough, BMW left a huge amount of performance on the table with the X5M which can be extracted with a high-quality ECU tune. A tune will optimize the air/fuel ratios, ignition timing, torque limiters, and much more.

If you’ve ever started your X5M in the cold, you know about the weird cold start on it. The idle will not stay consistent and it will basically run terribly for the first minute of being on. This happens thanks to BMW’s tuning which heats up the catalytic converters faster to improve effeciency, but it’s annoying and if you have an aftermarket exhaust it’s extremely loud. Luckily, this is tuned out with our VR Tuned ECU flash. On top of the jump in power and cold start delete, throttle response and fuel economy are both improved.
