VR Tuned has provided customers worldwide with additional power through their ECU tuning program since 2014. Most ECU tuning is done through the OBDII diagnostic port. This requires a special tool that is either made for the end user or the shop to read and write the vehicle ECU data. The main component that is also required with most of these tools is a laptop. Not just any laptop, a PC laptop. With so many users now running Mac, this also causes a headache. If you want to switch between files you need to have your PC traveling with you. Some tools such as the Dimsport MyGenius only require a laptop for the initial process then you have the handheld that can stay in the car. But now all that has changed with the new Alientech Powergate 4. This OBDII device is designed to read and write your ECU data all from your smartphone. There is no computers involved. Just plug the device into your OBDII port, download the app and follow the directions. The device can be used with most of the popular VR Tuned applications such as:  Mercedes AMG’s, Audi S and RS models, Porsche 911’s, and BMW M models.

Check out the video we did on how to use the Powergate 4 as demonstrated on this 2016 Mercedes AMG GT-S. If you are interested in getting one of these units and a VR Tuned ECU Flash, please contact us here
