Mercedes S63 ECU Removal and Upgrade for Tuning VRTuned.com August 16, 2016 Company News The Mercedes S63 W222 features a massive 5.5L twin turbo V8 that produces 577 horsepower and 900NM of torque. As the ultimate luxury sedan, this behemoth weighs in at 4800 pounds which could always use some more power to push it along. The S63 uses a Bosch MED17.7.x ECU which requires it to be bench flashed. To do this we have to remove the ECU as pictured below where we do the programming. Tuning the 5.5L V8 Turbo increases the power to 660hp and 1200nm of torque!
