The new 6 cylinder twin turbo BMW M4 M3 is the newest hot tuner car right now. As with any other high performance turbocharged vehicle, the potential is endless. Companies have already gotten on the modification train with exhaust systems and suspension upgrades. Here at VR Tuned, we want to make more horsepower on the new F80 F82 chassis and that is exactly what our ECU Tuning Box Kit does. As tested on our UK vehicle with 98ron the VR Tuned Tuning Box Kit gives your F80/F82 BMW M car a gain in power from 430bhp to 510bhp gaining you 80bhp (crank horsepower)! Peak torque went from 500nm to 630nm at the flywheel. On our USA BMW M4 we tested (as pictured), the car gained huge amounts of torque from the start of our test at 2500rpm all the way to about 6000rpm. Our tests were run on a Mustang all wheel drive dyno in AWD mode to not affect traction control issues. The car had a consistant horsepower increase from 3000rpm to 6300rpm. Nearly 70ft/lbs of torque was gained at 4000rpm with peak horsepower gains of nearly 60 all wheel horsepower at 4400rpm. Typical drivetrain loss on a Mustang AWD dyno is 20-25% which puts this BMW M4 on par with some great gains!
