BMW 435I F32 ECU Removal for Bench Flashing

If you are ready for more horsepower on your N55 3.0L turbocharged engine on your BMW 435I F32 or 335I F30, then its time for a ECU flash.  To bench flash your ECU for optimal power and performance, the ECU must be removed and mailed in.  The ECU is located under the intake manifold and with a couple of sockets, flat head screwdrivers, and about 45 mins, you can have your ECU out and ready to ship in to VR Tuned!  Here is how.

Here is your car, ready to be worked on!

Pop that hood up and get your tools ready.

Lift up your engine cover.  No screws, just lift up and it will pop off.

Start taking off clips, bolts, nuts.  Mainly a 10 or 12mm socket.  Once you can unhook everything, slight the intake manifold towards the front of the car and out.

You can now unbolt the ECU.

Once the ECU is sent in, we open the top cover and connect it to be programmed!
